Columbia, Mo.— Tanner Tipton, a senior at Green City High School, has been chosen as a recipient of a $250 Missouri Pork Industry Scholarship from the Missouri Pork Association.
Tanner is the daughter of Shannon and Becky Tipton from Milan. She has worked for Triple T Farms caring for livestock for many years, and for Glenn Simmons caring for livestock.
She is active in FBLA, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball, Varsity Track, Art Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the American Dairy Goat Association. Tanner has also held the office of historian for her FFA chapter and secretary of her 4-H Club.
Upon graduating, Tanner plans to attend North Central Missouri College, then transfer to the University of Missouri in Columbia to obtain a degree in agriculture with a minor in journalism. Her goal is to work in agricultural journalism, informing the public about the agricultural industry.
