Columbia, Mo.,— Senator Kurt Schaefer, from Columbia, was awarded with the Outstanding Legislator Award at the 2015 Missouri Pork Expo on February 10. Bob North, past chairman of the Missouri Pork Association (MPA), presented the award to Senator Schaefer for his strong support of Missouri’s pork industry and the Missouri Pork Association.

“Senator Schaefer knows that Missouri’s #1 industry is agriculture,” said Phillips. “He is a great ally to have in the State Senate, and has worked to ensure that Missouri agriculture and the pork industry can continue to operate and function successfully.”

He has been a great friend to all of Missouri agriculture.

The 2015 Missouri Pork Expo was held February 10-11 in Columbia. Pork producers from across the state enjoyed a trade show, producer education sessions and guest speakers.
