Preston Harrelson Awarded Missouri Pork Industry Scholarship

Columbia, Mo.,— Preston Harrelson, a sophomore at Northwest Missouri State University, has been chosen as a recipient of a $250 Missouri Pork Industry Scholarship from the Missouri Pork Association.

Preston currently works as a farmhand for Jones Farms and at Passantino Family Market. He has been very active in school, participating in the Clinton FFA chapter and student council while in high school. He is an honor student at Northwest Missouri State University.

Preston plans to graduate in the Fall of 2017 with a major in animal science and a minor in vocal music. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a position with the USDA while maintaining a small farrow to finish swine operation and small cow-calf operation.

Preston is the son of Jeff and Shelley Harrelson of Clinton.
