Columbia, Mo.,–Francis Forst, outgoing chairman of the Missouri Pork Association (MPA), presented the Outstanding Legislator Award to Representative John Wiemann (R-103rd District) during the 2019 Missouri Pork Expo on February 12. Representative Wiemann was chosen for his outstanding support of the Missouri Pork Association, the Missouri pork industry and all of agriculture.
“Representative Wiemann certainly recognizes the importance of agriculture,” said Forst. “He understands the impact that legislative and regulatory decisions have on Missouri’s number one industry.”
This past year, Representative Wiemann successfully sponsored legislation providing much needed regulatory clarity for Missouri Agriculture. While from an urban district, not only does he understands the importance of agriculture, he brings much needed common sense and the ability to cut through the clutter and get things done. Representative Wiemann is one you can count on to stand up and to the right thing.
