MPA Presents Award to Representative Joe Don McGaugh

Columbia, Mo.,–Scott Phillips, chairman of the Missouri Pork Association (MPA), presented the Outstanding Legislator Award to Representative Joe Don McGaugh during the 2017 Missouri Pork Expo on February 7. Representative McGaugh was chosen for his outstanding support of the Missouri Pork Association, the Missouri pork industry and all of agriculture.

 

“To ensure that pork producers can continue to operate successfully in this state, we need State Legislators who understand the industry,’ said Phillips. “Representative McGaugh has been there to support us,”

He understands the importance of Missouri’s #1 industry—agriculture—and the key role that the pork sector plays in helping achieve that status. He demonstrates exceptional leadership in the House and fully understands what he does in the Missouri Legislature has a direct impact on Missouri business and our freedom to operate.

 

Pork producers from across the state attended the 2017 Missouri Pork Expo held in Columbia, Missouri on February 7-8. Highlights included a trade show, educational sessions and guest speakers.
