MPA Chairman’s Award Presented to Kenny Brinker

Columbia, Mo.,–Scott Phillips, chairman of the Missouri Pork Association (MPA), announced Kenny Brinker as the recipient of the annual Chairman’s Award during the 2017 Missouri Pork Expo on February 7.

 

Kenny, along with brothers Dale and Ronnie, own and operate Harrison Creek Farm LLC, a 2,800 sow farrow to finish operation. Kenny also operates Brinker Farms Inc. in Auxvasse, a row crop operation consisting of 4,400 acres of corn and soybeans, all produced no-till. The Brinker’s recently opened Central Missouri Meat and Sausage, a custom meat and sausage company near Fulton, and the Barnyard Smokehouse, an on-site restaurant.

 

Kenny has served on numerous committees with the Missouri Pork Association, and is currently on the Promotion, Education and Research Committee. He is a member of the Audrain County Pork Producers Association and has welcomed many groups to the farm for tours, ranging from local school groups to international ag tours. In 2006, the farm was a recipient of the National Pork Industry Environmental Steward Award.

 

Kenny and wife, Susan, have three children, Amanda, Travis and Cody, and five grandchildren.

 

“Kenny has been a strong advocate of the pork industry,” said Phillips. “We look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.”

 

Each year, the MPA Chairman presents the award to a key individual for their support of the pork industry, the Association and its members.

 

The 2017 Missouri Pork Expo was held February 7-8 in Columbia. Pork producers from across the state enjoyed a trade show, producer education sessions and guest speakers.
