Jenna Berendzen, California, Joins Missouri Pork for Spring Internship

Columbia, Mo.,—Jenna Berendzen, a sophomore at the University of Missouri, has joined the Missouri Pork Association as the Spring, 2022 intern. She will be in the office approximately 15 hours each week and work on projects including the Missouri Pork Expo and Missouri Pork Classic Golf Tournament.

 

Jenna is the daughter of Brad and Julie Berendzen from California. She grew up on the family farm, and showed pigs at her local fair. She is pursuing a degree in Agribusiness Management with a minor in Accounting. Her goal is to help farmers utilize the commodity markets for a more successful operation.

 

She is currently a student supervisor at the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office where she is responsible for customer service and office projects, handling money and training new employees. Jenna previously worked at Longfellow’s Garden Center in Centertown, Missouri. While there, she worked with customers, cared for many annuals and perennials, and managed the growth of 3,000 mums for the fall season.

 

Jenna is also active outside of the classroom. She is a member of the Sigma Alpha-Alpha Chi, Collegiate Farm Bureau and Collegiate Cattlewomen.
