Bob Idel Receives Missouri Pork Association Chairman’s Award

Bob North, past chairman of the Missouri Pork Association (MPA), presented the annual Chairman’s Award to Bob Idel during the 2015 Missouri Pork Expo on February 10.

Idel is currently vice-president, insurance for FCS Financial, ACA in Jefferson City, Missouri. He began his career with the Farm Credit System in 1974 as a field representative for the Jefferson City PCA and has held various management positions since.

He continues to be very active in committees and boards throughout the state as well as in his home county of Gasconade. He is an at large director on the Missouri Pork Association Board of Directors and has served on numerous committees. Idel also serves on the 4-H Foundation, MDGC and Youth-in-Ag boards, to name a few.

“Bob has been and continues to be a great asset to the Missouri Pork Association,” said North. “We thank him for his leadership and dedication to the pork industry, and look forward to working with him in the future.”

Each year, the MPA Chairman presents the award to a key individual for their support of the pork industry, the Association and its members.

The 2015 Missouri Pork Expo was held February 10-11 in Columbia. Pork producers from across the state enjoyed a trade show, producer education sessions and guest speakers.
