Missouri Pork Association's Youth Pork Institute

"Creating Opportunities For Our Industry Since 1954"

Columbia, Missouri

 

The University of Missouri Pork Institute is an intensive three-day educational program. Its goal is to instruct young people in profitable pork production, introduce them to the latest technological developments and train them to be leaders in the U.S. pork industry. Participants will compete for two $500 college scholarships.

 

Students selected to attend the 2010 University of Missouri Pork Institute include:

Andrew Fisher - Middletown (Scholarship Winner)
Miriam Martin - Bucklin (Scholarship Winner)
Nicholas Cox - Leeton
Colby Dohrman - Sweet Springs
Jacob Fry - Otterville
Dakota Oehl - Friedheim
Dustin Ruth - Downing
Blake Telle - Uniontown
Dennis Wolf - Troy
Harley Wooldridge - Carrollton

This year's activities will include: tours of Triumph Foods Processing Plant, vet college diagnostics lab and the Missouri Pork Association headquarters.
