Gordon Becton Recognized for Service to the Missouri Pork Association
Columbia, Mo.,—Gordon Becton, of Harris, was recognized for his service as a board member of the Missouri Pork Association on February 11 at the 2009 Missouri Pork Expo’s Pork Industry Buffet in Columbia.
Becton served as North Central Region Director from 2004 through 2008. He was raised on a diversified farm in North Carolina that focused on a variety of crops, as well as hogs and laying hens. He is the former Communications Supervisor for Premium Standard Farms in Princeton, Mo.
Becton has served on the North Central Missouri Pork Association as President, and has held several other offices within the organization. He is a graduate of the Leadership Northwest Missouri program and is a county coordinator for the Great Northwest Day event in Jefferson City. Becton was Communications Supervisor for Premium Standard Farms from 1997 to 2008.
“The Missouri Pork Association thanks Gordon for his extensive service to our organization,” said Don Nikodim, executive vice president of the Missouri Pork Association. “He has been a great asset that will be hard to replace.”
