Columbia, Mo.,—Allyson Perry, with Murphy-Brown Western Operations, has been elected North Central Region Director for the Missouri Pork Association Board of Directors for a three year term.
Perry grew up on a tobacco and turkey farm in eastern North Carolina. She began working for what was then Murphy Farms in 1990. She worked in recruiting, public affairs, and served as legislative assistant to state senator Wendell Murphy. She and her family were also contract nursery producers with Murphy Farms for ten years.
In 2000, Allyson began working as public affairs manager in the Murphy-Brown Western Operations. At the present time, Allyson is enrolled in NPPC’s Public Policy Institute.
Allyson is a graduate of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She lives in Kansas City currently with her husband Eric and son James Thomas.
The mission of the Missouri Pork Association is to enhance and optimize opportunities while eliminating or minimizing barriers for the success of Missouri pork producers and other industry stakeholders.
