Missouri students attended the 7th annual In the Show Ring session. Tyler Martin was one of many speakers. Students were given Show Me Quality Assurance Certification for attending. The session was sponsored by OBC Genetics and Alltech.

Abby The Expo hosted the FFA Pork Speaking Contest Finals on February 9, sponsored by MFA Incorporated. Miriam Martin from the Meadville FFA Chapter received first. Visit the MPA website for more information.

The morning education session featured Dr. Rick Tubbs discussing biosecurity issues.

 

The Trade Show offered great networking opportunities for producers and allied industry representatives.

Thanks to Connie and Hannah Sandidge from Marshall, Edna Fisher from Middletown, and Riss Hays from Monroe City for all their help at the registration desk.

Over 160 producers and friends of the industry attended the Pork Industry Banquet and live auction on February 9.

Everyone had a great time at the Pork Industry Fundraising Auction. Over $23,000 was raised to fund MPA's legislative and regulatory efforts.

 

The Pork Leadership Breakfast kicked off the morning of February 10, and featured Mr. Jim Wiesemeyer with Informa Economics in Washington, D.C. He spoke to a group of 60 producers about the changes occurring in our nation's capitol and the importance of our involvement.
